Meat And Poultry Market Size in Vietnam

The Vietnamese meat and poultry market contracted slightly to $X in 2022, waning by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, consumption recorded a slight setback. The exports peaked at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, meat and poultry exports surged to $X in 2022. Overall, total exports indicated noticeable growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by X% against 2020 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2017 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

Hong Kong SAR (X tons), China (X tons) and Malaysia (X tons) were the main destinations of meat and poultry exports from Vietnam, with a combined X% share of total exports. Japan, Taiwan (Chinese), Macao SAR, Pakistan, the United States, South Korea, France, Belgium and Singapore lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X%.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Taiwan (Chinese) (with a CAGR of X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, meat and poultry imports fell to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a noticeable descent. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

The United States (X tons), India (X tons) and Brazil (X tons) were the main suppliers of meat and poultry imports to Vietnam, with a combined X% share of total imports. Russia, South Korea, Poland, Iran, Germany, Australia, Canada and Hong Kong SAR lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X%.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Germany (with a CAGR of X%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest meat and poultry suppliers to Vietnam were India ($X), the United States ($X) and Russia ($X), together accounting for X% of total imports.
