The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the United States ($X) remains the largest frozen whole turkey supplier from Puerto Rico, comprising 61% of global exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by France ($X), with a 19% share of global exports. It was followed by Canada, with a 7.6% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in the United States was relatively modest. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: France (-7.7% per year) and Canada (+9.7% per year).

Panama (X tons) held the second position in the ranking, followed by the United States (X tons). All these countries together took approx. 10% share of total imports. Germany (X tons), Chile (X tons), El Salvador (X tons), Guatemala (X tons), the United Arab Emirates (X tons), Portugal (X tons), Finland (X tons), Denmark (X tons), Trinidad and Tobago (X tons) and Egypt (X tons) held a little share of total imports.

Mexico experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of imports of frozen whole turkeys. At the same time, the United States (+61.7%), Egypt (+33.5%), Finland (+29.2%), Chile (+24.2%), Portugal (+12.2%), Trinidad and Tobago (+7.2%), El Salvador (+4.0%) and Guatemala (+2.9%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, the United States emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the world, with a CAGR of +61.7% from 2012-2021. Denmark and Panama experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, the United Arab Emirates (-4.3%) and Germany (-4.7%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Mexico, the United States, Chile, Finland, Portugal, El Salvador and Egypt increased by +5.7, +4.8, +3.7, +2, +1.8, +1.6 and +1.6 percentage points, while the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
