The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.1% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when imports increased by 46%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, fruit flour imports reduced modestly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports recorded a perceptible increase. The import price in Eastern Asia stood at $X per ton in 2022, reducing by -5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw modest growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when the import price increased by 74% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per ton. From 2016 to 2022, the import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Japan ($X per ton), while Hong Kong SAR ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
