The third position in this ranking was taken by Uzbekistan (X tons), with a X% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume in Russia was relatively modest. The remaining producing countries recorded the following average annual rates of production growth: Belarus (X% per year) and Uzbekistan (X% per year).

Exports in CIS
In 2022, shipments abroad of skim milk decreased by X% to X tons, falling for the third year in a row after four years of growth. Overall, exports, however, showed a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, skim milk exports shrank to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, posted a remarkable increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when exports increased by X%. The level of export peaked at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
Exports by Country
Belarus prevails in exports structure, accounting for X tons, which was near X% of total exports in 2022. Russia (X tons) took an X% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Kyrgyzstan (X%).
From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to skim milk exports from Belarus stood at X%. At the same time, Kyrgyzstan (X%) and Russia (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Kyrgyzstan emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the CIS, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Belarus and Kyrgyzstan increased by X and X percentage points, respectively.
In value terms, Belarus ($X) remains the largest skim milk supplier in the CIS, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Russia ($X), with a X% share of total exports.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Kyrgyzstan ($X per ton), while Belarus ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Russia (X%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

Imports in CIS
In 2022, supplies from abroad of skim milk decreased by X% to X tons, falling for the fifth consecutive year after two years of growth. Over the period under review, imports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by X%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2018 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, skim milk imports contracted sharply to $X in 2022. Overall, imports recorded a pronounced slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by X%. The level of import peaked at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
Moldova represented the key importing country with an import of about X tons, which amounted to X% of total imports. Kazakhstan (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a X% share, followed by Russia (X%). Armenia (X tons), Azerbaijan (X tons) and Tajikistan (X tons) took a relatively small share of total imports.
Imports into Moldova increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Armenia (X%) and Kazakhstan (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Armenia emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the CIS, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. Tajikistan experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Russia (X%) and Azerbaijan (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Moldova (X p.p.), Kazakhstan (X p.p.) and Armenia (X p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Azerbaijan and Russia saw its share reduced by X% and X% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the largest skim milk importing markets in the CIS were Moldova ($X), Russia ($X) and Kazakhstan ($X), with a combined X% share of total imports. Azerbaijan, Armenia and Tajikistan lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X%.
Armenia, with a CAGR of X%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The import price in the CIS stood at $X per ton in 2022, jumping by X% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a pronounced descent. The level of import peaked at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Azerbaijan ($X per ton), while Kazakhstan ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
