Exports in Central Asia

In 2022, overseas shipments of bananas decreased by X% to X tons, falling for the second year in a row after three years of growth. In general, exports, however, saw a significant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X tons in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Banana imports surged to X tons in 2022, increasing by X% compared with the year before. Overall, imports showed a significant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 when imports increased by X%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
