In November 2023, the average export price for cheese of all kinds, grated or powdered amounted to $9,727 per ton, leveling off at the previous month. Over the period from November 2022 to November 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.1%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2023 an increase of 16% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $9,960 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to November 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Slovenia ($13,682 per ton), while the average price for exports to Poland ($8,359 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Slovenia (+4.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average import price for cheese of all kinds, grated or powdered stood at $7,262 per ton in November 2023, growing by 5.6% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, showed a mild downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2023 an increase of 54% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $8,307 per ton in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to November 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Italy ($13,594 per ton), while the price for Poland ($5,218 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Denmark (+2.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas shipments of cheese of all kinds, grated or powdered, when their volume decreased by -11% to 499 tons.
