Price for Andalusite, Kyanite and Sillimanite in the United States (FOB) - 2023
The average andalusite, kyanite and sillimanite export price stood at $420 per ton in August 2023, picking up by 4.1% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2022 an increase of 22% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $457 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to August 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Japan ($534 per ton), while the average price for exports to Canada ($260 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Australia (+1.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
