Nuts Price in Romania (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average nuts import price amounted to $3,109 per ton, shrinking by -10% against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a slight descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average import price increased by 65% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $5,410 per ton. From 2021 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Turkey ($8,504 per ton), while the price for Ukraine ($649 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Turkey (+11.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Nuts Price in Romania (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average nuts export price amounted to $8,503 per ton, picking up by 35% against the previous year. In general, the export price enjoyed a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 63%. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in years to come.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($13,985 per ton), while the average price for exports to Ireland ($110 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+28.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Nuts Imports in Romania
In 2022, imports of nuts into Romania reduced modestly to 5.2K tons, declining by -3% compared with the previous year. In general, imports, however, showed buoyant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 140% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of 5.4K tons, and then dropped modestly in the following year.
