Non-Chicken Table Egg Price in Slovenia (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average non-chicken table egg import price amounted to $4,445 per ton, with an increase of 93% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a perceptible curtailment. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $5,513 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Croatia ($4,581 per ton), while the price for Italy ($1,436 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Hungary (+23.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Non-Chicken Table Egg Price in Slovenia (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average non-chicken table egg export price amounted to $3,500 per ton, with a decrease of -12.5% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, posted resilient growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 an increase of 205%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $11,444 per ton. From 2021 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($3,516 per ton), while the average price for exports to Italy amounted to $3,000 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Croatia (+42.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Non-Chicken Table Egg Imports in Slovenia
For the third year in a row, Slovenia recorded decline in overseas purchases of table eggs, excluding hen eggs, which decreased by -87.9% to 26 tons in 2022. In general, imports showed a sharp downturn. The smallest decline of -7% was in 2020.
In value terms, non-chicken table egg imports fell sharply to $116K in 2022. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a dramatic shrinkage. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 22%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $698K. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
