Linseed Price in Greece (CIF) - 2022
The average linseed import price stood at $1,275 per ton in 2022, surging by 12% against the previous year. Overall, import price indicated a pronounced expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.1% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, linseed import price increased by +78.2% against 2016 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 62%. The import price peaked in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in years to come.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was India ($1,926 per ton), while the price for Ukraine ($947 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by India (+7.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The export price peaked at $2,609 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the countries with the highest prices were Albania ($1,508 per ton) and Cyprus ($1,508 per ton), while the average price for exports to Italy ($1,229 per ton) and Malta ($1,251 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Malta (+18.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Linseed Imports in Greece
In 2022, purchases abroad of linseed decreased by -18.4% to 619 tons, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. Over the period under review, imports showed a pronounced contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 18%. Linseed Exports in Greece
