The average crispbread import price stood at $6,646 per ton in August 2023, increasing by 8.8% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.5%. The growth pace was the most rapid in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 41% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $6,982 per ton. From May 2023 to August 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Canada ($14,340 per ton), while the price for Moldova ($1,640 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Sweden (+2.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Crispbread Price in the United States (FOB) - 2023
The average crispbread export price stood at $3,478 per ton in August 2023, reducing by -3.2% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in February 2023 an increase of 12% against the previous month.
