Chicken Meat Price in Croatia (CIF) - 2023
The average chicken meat import price stood at $2,869 per ton in June 2023, waning by -8.8% against the previous month. Overall, the import price showed a mild slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 20% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $3,436 per ton in June 2022; however, from July 2022 to June 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($3,880 per ton), while the price for Denmark ($1,034 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+4.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Chicken Meat Price in Croatia (FOB) - 2022
The average chicken meat export price stood at $1,829 per ton in 2022, picking up by 7% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a perceptible decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the average export price increased by 11%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $2,719 per ton. From 2014 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Montenegro ($3,452 per ton), while the average price for exports to Bosnia and Herzegovina ($775 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Kosovo (+11.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Chicken Meat Imports in Croatia
In 2022, the amount of chicken meat imported into Croatia surged to 17K tons, with an increase of 16% against 2021 figures. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.8% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years.
