The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, exports increased by +97.9% against 2015 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 33% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs in 2021 and are likely to see gradual growth in the near future.

Germany (X tons) was the main destination for bed linen exports from Poland, with a 62% share of total exports. Moreover, bed linen exports to Germany exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, the Czech Republic (X tons), ninefold. Hungary (X tons) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 4.9% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Germany amounted to +8.4%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the Czech Republic (+12.6% per year) and Hungary (+11.7% per year).

In general, export price indicated noticeable growth from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.2% over the last nine-year period.
