Turkey prevails in exports structure, finishing at X tons, which was approx. X% of total exports in 2023. It was distantly followed by Morocco (X tons), committing an X% share of total exports. The following exporters - Egypt (X tons) and Iran (X tons) - each accounted for a X% share of total exports.
Turkey was also the fastest-growing in terms of the kaolin and kaolinic clays exports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2023. At the same time, Egypt (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Morocco experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Iran (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. By contrast, Tunisia (X%), Egypt (X%), Iran (X%) and Saudi Arabia (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. In value terms, the largest kaolin importing markets in MENA were Turkey ($X), Egypt ($X) and the United Arab Emirates ($X), with a combined X% share of total imports. Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Bahrain, Iran and Kuwait lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X%.
