Television Receiver Market Size in Lithuania

The revenue of the television receiver market in Lithuania amounted to $X in 2018, rising by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, television receiver consumption, however, continues to indicate a drastic decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 when the market value increased by X% y-o-y. Lithuania television receiver consumption peaked at $X in 2008; however, from 2009 to 2018, consumption remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, television receiver production amounted to $X in 2018 estimated in export prices. In general, television receiver production continues to indicate a drastic drop. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, television receiver production reached its maximum level at $X in 2010; however, from 2011 to 2018, production remained at a lower figure.

Exports from Lithuania

In 2018, the amount of television receivers exported from Lithuania totaled X units, falling by -X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, television receiver exports continue to indicate a significant downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, television receiver exports reached their maximum at X units in 2010; however, from 2011 to 2018, exports failed to regain their momentum.

In value terms, television receiver exports amounted to $X in 2018. Overall, television receiver exports continue to indicate a perceptible decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Lithuania exports peaked at $X in 2010; however, from 2011 to 2018, exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Exports by Country

China prevails in television receiver exports structure, reaching X units, which was approx. X% of total exports in 2018. It was distantly followed by Mexico (X units), committing an X% share of total exports. Poland (X units), the U.S. (X units), Slovakia (X units), Thailand (X units), Mauritius (X units), Indonesia (X units), Vietnam (X units), Hungary (X units) and South Korea (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Exports from China increased at an average annual rate of +X% from 2007 to 2018. At the same time, Mauritius (+X%), Vietnam (+X%), the U.S. (+X%), Indonesia (+X%), Poland (+X%), Thailand (+X%) and Mexico (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Mauritius emerged as the fastest-growing exporter in the world, with a CAGR of +X% from 2007-2018. By contrast, South Korea (-X%), Hungary (-X%) and Slovakia (-X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2007 to 2018, the share of China, the U.S., Mexico, Mauritius, Poland and Vietnam increased by +X%, +X%, +X%, +X%, +X% and +X% percentage points, while the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the largest television receiver markets from Lithuania were China ($X), Mexico ($X) and Slovakia ($X), with a combined X% share of total exports. Poland, the U.S., Hungary, Vietnam, South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, Lithuania and Mauritius lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X terms of the main exporting countries, Mauritius (+X% per year) experienced the highest rates of growth with regard to exports, over the last eleven-year period, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The television receiver export price in Lithuania stood at $X per unit in 2018, shrinking by -X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the television receiver export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 an increase of X% y-o-y. Lithuania export price peaked at $X per unit in 2009; however, from 2010 to 2018, export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin; the country with the highest price was Slovakia ($X per unit), while Mauritius ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Slovakia, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Lithuania

In 2018, the amount of television receivers imported into Lithuania stood at X units, going up by X% against the previous year. In general, television receiver imports, however, continue to indicate a slight shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2010 when imports increased by X% year-to-year. In that year, television receiver imports attained their peak of X units. From 2011 to 2018, the growth of television receiver imports failed to regain its momentum.

Imports by Country

The U.S. was the key importer of television receivers in the world, with the volume of imports recording X units, which was approx. X% of total imports in 2018. India (X units) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a X% share, followed by Germany (X%) and Mexico (X%). The following importers - the UK (X units), France (X units), the Netherlands (X units), China, Hong Kong SAR (X units), Italy (X units), Japan (X units), Spain (X units) and the United Arab Emirates (X units) - together made up X% of total imports.

The U.S. experienced a relatively flat trend pattern of television receivers imports. At the same time, India (+X%), Mexico (+X%), Japan (+X%), China, Hong Kong SAR (+X%) and the Netherlands (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, India emerged as the fastest-growing importer in the world, with a CAGR of +X% from 2007-2018. France, Germany, Italy and the United Arab Emirates experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Spain (-X%) and the UK (-X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2007 to 2018, the share of India and Mexico increased by +X% and +X% percentage points, while the UK (-X p.p.) saw their share reduced. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the U.S. ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported television receivers into Lithuania, comprising X% of global imports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Germany ($X), with a X% share of global imports. It was followed by the UK, with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2018, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in the U.S. totaled -X%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Germany (-X% per year) and the UK (-X% per year).

Import Prices by Country

In 2018, the television receiver import price in Lithuania amounted to $X per unit, declining by -X% against the previous year. Overall, the import price indicated measured growth from 2007 to 2018: its price increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last eleven years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2008 an increase of X% against the previous year. In that year, the import prices for television receivers attained their peak level of $X per unit. From 2009 to 2018, the growth in terms of the import prices for television receivers failed to regain its momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2018, the country with the highest price was Japan ($X per unit), while China, Hong Kong SAR ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

Kyrgyzstan, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Estonia, Italy, Germany, Malaysia, Greece, Hong Kong SAR and Portugal lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 30%.
The average television receiver export price stood at $174 per unit in 2022, dropping by -42% against the previous year.
The average television receiver import price stood at $286 per unit in 2022, shrinking by -10.3% against the previous year.
