As a result, the exports attained the peak of X tons. From 2014 to 2023, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, cotton-seed oil exports declined rapidly to $X in 2023. In general, exports, however, enjoyed a resilient increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2023, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

Poland represented the main exporting country with an export of about X tons, which finished at X% of total exports. Russia (X tons) held the second position in the ranking, followed by Bulgaria (X tons). All these countries together held near X% share of total exports. Romania (X tons) took a relatively small share of total exports.

Poland was also the fastest-growing in terms of the cotton-seed oil exports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2023. At the same time, Romania (X%), Bulgaria (X%) and Russia (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Poland (X p.p.), Bulgaria (X p.p.) and Romania (X p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Russia saw its share reduced by X% from 2012 to 2023, respectively.

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when the export price increased by X%. The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2023, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Bulgaria ($X per ton), while Poland ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Bulgaria (X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Cotton-seed oil imports skyrocketed to X tons in 2023, growing by X% against the year before. Overall, imports showed a modest increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2023, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, cotton-seed oil imports soared to $X in 2023. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a strong expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2023 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
