Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2021; however, from 2022 to 2023, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, clay imports soared to $X in 2023. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a mild slump. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2023, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
Russia dominates imports structure, recording X tons, which was approx. X% of total imports in 2023. Belarus (X tons) held the second position in the ranking, followed by Azerbaijan (X tons) and Kazakhstan (X tons). All these countries together took approx. X% share of total imports. Uzbekistan (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

At the same time, Uzbekistan (X%), Azerbaijan (X%) and Kazakhstan (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Uzbekistan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the CIS, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. By contrast, Belarus (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period.
