The volume of import peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 100% against the previous year. The level of import peaked in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in years to come.

In 2022, Vietnam (X cubic meters) was the main importer of industrial roundwood (coniferous), comprising 72% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Malaysia (X cubic meters), committing a 23% share of total imports. The Philippines (X cubic meters) held a little share of total imports.
