Wheat Bran Price in Belgium (CIF) - 2023
The average wheat bran import price stood at $225 per ton in June 2023, with a decrease of -3.7% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in August 2022 when the average import price increased by 15% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $290 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to June 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Germany ($487 per ton), while the price for France ($198 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+8.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Wheat Bran Price in Belgium (FOB) - 2023
In June 2023, the average wheat bran export price amounted to $286 per ton, rising by 9.6% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a mild decrease. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in January 2023 when the average export price increased by 16% month-to-month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $422 per ton. From February 2023 to June 2023, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major overseas markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was France ($314 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Netherlands stood at $222 per ton.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (-1.4%).
