Vegetable Product Price in Croatia (CIF) - 2022
The average vegetable product import price stood at $5,606 per ton in 2022, surging by 3.5% against the previous year. In general, import price indicated measured growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.8% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, vegetable product import price decreased by -33.7% against 2019 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when the average import price increased by 85%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $8,459 per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Greece ($15,766 per ton), while the price for Serbia ($685 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Greece (+37.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average vegetable product export price stood at $3,265 per ton in 2022, rising by 53% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw a remarkable increase. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Montenegro ($4,949 per ton), while the average price for exports to Serbia ($998 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Slovenia (+2.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Vegetable Product Imports in Croatia
