The average seals; mechanical import price stood at $1.1 per unit in August 2023, which is down by -16% against the previous month. In general, the import price showed a abrupt setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in October 2022 when the average import price increased by 206% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $2.3 per unit in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to August 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($4.0 per unit), while the price for Spain ($214 per thousand units) was amongst the lowest.

From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Hungary (+6.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
