The average import price for zinc; plates, sheets, strip and foils stood at $4,388 per ton in November 2023, rising by 3.3% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2023 an increase of 14% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $4,964 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to November 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the United States ($7,317 per ton), while the price for Peru stood at $4,066 per ton.
From December 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+0.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

In 2022, the amount of zinc; plates, sheets, strip and foils imported into Italy contracted markedly to 7.3K tons, reducing by -22.5% against the previous year's figure.
