In September 2023, the average export price for woven fabrics of artificial staple fibres amounted to $4.0 per square meter, increasing by 27% against the previous month. In general, export price indicated a notable expansion from September 2022 to September 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +4.4% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on September 2023 figures, export price for woven fabrics of artificial staple fibres decreased by -15.8% against June 2023 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in October 2022 when the average export price increased by 31% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $4.8 per square meter in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to September 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Austria ($8.8 per square meter), while the average price for exports to France ($1.4 per square meter) was amongst the lowest.

From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bulgaria (+7.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on September 2023 figures, import price for woven fabrics of artificial staple fibres decreased by -21.8% against July 2023 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in March 2023 an increase of 36% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $3.2 per square meter in July 2023; however, from August 2023 to September 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Italy ($7.9 per square meter), while the price for the Netherlands ($1.1 per square meter) was amongst the lowest.

From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+5.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
