The average import price for wood charcoal (including shell or nut charcoal), whether or not agglomerated stood at $270 per ton in July 2023, remaining constant against the previous month. Over the last seven months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.1%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 7.7% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $276 per ton. From May 2023 to July 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Paraguay ($315 per ton), while the price for Argentina ($229 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
