Over the period under review, the import price showed resilient growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2023 an increase of 371% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $34,035 per ton. From March 2023 to November 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Slovenia ($42,062 per ton), while the price for China ($8,774 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +95.1% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 50%. The exports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
