In October 2023, the average import price for tools, hand; other than household toolses amounted to $7,024 per ton, shrinking by -33.7% against the previous month. In general, the import price showed a mild decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2022 when the average import price increased by 35% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $13,400 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to October 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Overall, export price indicated a slight expansion from October 2022 to October 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +1.3% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on October 2023 figures, export price for tools, hand; other than household toolses decreased by -50.8% against July 2023 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in November 2022 an increase of 66% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $30,404 per ton in July 2023; however, from August 2023 to October 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was North Macedonia ($23,353 per ton), while the average price for exports to Bosnia and Herzegovina ($12,498 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to North Macedonia (+6.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
