In October 2023, the average import price for tomatoes; prepared or preserved otherwise than by vinegar or acetic acid amounted to $1,770 per ton, reducing by -7.3% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.1%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2023 when the average import price increased by 13% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $2,027 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to October 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Poland ($2,578 per ton), while the price for India ($1,072 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+10.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
