Price for Sugars; Fructose, Chemically Pure, in Solid Form in Turkey (FOB) - 2024

The average export price for sugars; fructose, chemically pure, in solid form stood at $1,547 per ton in July 2023, which is down by -2% against the previous month. Over the period from February 2023 to July 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.1%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in May 2023 when the average export price increased by 6.8% month-to-month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $1,595 per ton. From June 2023 to July 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the UK ($1,698 per ton), while the average price for exports to India ($1,060 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From February 2023 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bulgaria (+12.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In July 2023, the average import price for sugars; fructose, chemically pure, in solid form amounted to $2,054 per ton, increasing by 36% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The import price peaked at $2,181 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to July 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Israel.

From February 2023 to July 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Finland amounted to +4.3% per month.

After three years of growth, overseas shipments of sugars; fructose, chemically pure, in solid form decreased by -7.5% to 108K tons in 2022. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +9.9% from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when exports increased by 23% against the previous year.
