In November 2023, the average export price for propylene, other olefin polymers; propylene copolymers in primary formses amounted to $1,185 per ton, picking up by 6.6% against the previous month. In general, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in January 2023 an increase of 9% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $1,437 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to November 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major export markets. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Russia ($1,189 per ton), while the average price for exports to Belarus stood at $1,151 per ton.
From December 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Turkey (-0.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

The average import price for propylene, other olefin polymers; propylene copolymers in primary formses stood at $1,492 per ton in November 2023, with an increase of 6.8% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a slight reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2023 an increase of 33% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $2,097 per ton. From October 2023 to November 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($2,161 per ton), while the price for Saudi Arabia ($1,169 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by South Korea (-0.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

The exports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in years to come.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 545% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $54M, and then fell in the following year.
