In September 2023, the average export price for prefabricated buildings of plastics, concrete or aluminium amounted to $4,572 per ton, growing by 21% against the previous month. Over the period from September 2022 to September 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.4%. The growth pace was the most rapid in April 2023 when the average export price increased by 29% month-to-month. The export price peaked in September 2023.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Poland ($23,981 per ton), while the average price for exports to Luxembourg ($1,475 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (+10.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In September 2023, the average import price for prefabricated buildings of plastics, concrete or aluminium amounted to $3,135 per ton, shrinking by -19.3% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in November 2022 when the average import price increased by 41% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $4,384 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to September 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($11,409 per ton), while the price for China ($1,275 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Czech Republic (+9.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Exports of Prefabricated Buildings of Plastics, Concrete or Aluminium in Belgium
After three years of growth, shipments abroad of prefabricated buildings of plastics, concrete or aluminium decreased by -3.4% to 118K tons in 2022. In general, total exports indicated prominent growth from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +11.4% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +38.1% against 2019 indices. Over the period under review, total exports indicated a significant increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +20.1% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +73.3% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 53% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $382M, leveling off in the following year.
