The average import price for molluscs; octopus (octopus spp.), frozen, dried, salted or in brine stood at $17,756 per ton in October 2023, which is down by -13.8% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in July 2023 when the average import price increased by 55% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $20,589 per ton in September 2023, and then declined in the following month.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Spain ($19,035 per ton), while the price for the Netherlands ($4,668 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
