Price for Hot-Rolled Wire Rod in Coils in Iran (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average export price for hot-rolled wire rods in coils amounted to $732 per ton, growing by 34% against the previous year. In general, export price indicated a mild expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +1.4% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, hot-rolled wire rod in coils export price increased by +85.2% against 2017 indices. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Jordan ($1,144 per ton), while the average price for exports to Syrian Arab Republic ($529 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Uzbekistan (+30.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $852 per ton in 2021, and then reduced modestly in the following year.
