Price for Hot-Rolled Wire Rod in Coils in Belarus (FOB) - 2022
In March 2022, the average export price for hot-rolled wire rods in coils amounted to $742 per ton, remaining stable against the previous month. Over the period from March 2021 to March 2022, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.5%. The growth pace was the most rapid in April 2021 when the average export price increased by 17% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $851 per ton in August 2021; however, from September 2021 to March 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In March 2022, the country with the highest price was Lithuania ($928 per ton), while the average price for exports to Russia ($580 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (+3.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In March 2022, the average import price for hot-rolled wire rods in coils amounted to $597 per ton, reducing by -33.1% against the previous month. In general, the import price recorded a slight setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in November 2021 when the average import price increased by 9.4% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $892 per ton in July 2021; however, from August 2021 to March 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Russia.
From March 2021 to March 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Moldova amounted to +1.9% per month.
