In July 2023, the average electronic integrated circuits; memories import price amounted to $5.5 per unit, increasing by 4.5% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a perceptible downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in September 2022 when the average import price increased by 175% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $14.8 per unit. From October 2022 to July 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was the United States ($9.9 per unit), while the price for Thailand ($3.4 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Thailand (-1.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

In 2022, the average electronic integrated circuits; memories export price amounted to $15 per unit, growing by 10% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a pronounced decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 55% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $23 per unit in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($60 per unit), while the average price for exports to Ireland ($5.3 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+9.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, supplies from abroad of electronic integrated circuits decreased by -13.3% to 1.7M units, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a buoyant increase from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +9.7% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports decreased by -20.2% against 2020 indices. In value terms, electronic integrated circuits; memories imports expanded modestly to $6.1M in 2022. In general, imports, however, saw a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 48%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the near future.
