The average import price for cycles; parts, pedals and crank-gear, and parts thereoves stood at $25,909 per ton in November 2023, falling by -18.9% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, enjoyed a remarkable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2023 when the average import price increased by 71% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $34,205 per ton in September 2023; however, from October 2023 to November 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($52,495 per ton), while the price for Vietnam ($5,057 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+17.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a abrupt shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the average export price increased by 44% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $71,530 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($27,510 per ton), while the average price for exports to Austria ($6,736 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ukraine (+13.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +72.9% against 2019 indices. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
