In November 2023, the average import price for cutlery; other than plated with precious metals amounted to $581 per ton, reducing by -7.7% against the previous month. Overall, the import price saw a deep contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in May 2023 an increase of 32% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $1,249 per ton. From June 2023 to November 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, the average export price for cutlery; other than plated with precious metals amounted to $5,813 per ton, which is down by -15.7% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, saw a significant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when the average export price increased by 260%. The export price peaked at $6,899 per ton in 2021, and then shrank dramatically in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Lithuania ($13,699 per ton), while the average price for exports to Kyrgyzstan ($3,898 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2017 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Kazakhstan (+270.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
