The average export price for copper; bars, rods and profiles, of copper-zinc base alloys (brass)s stood at $6,943 per ton in December 2023, increasing by 8% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $7,651 per ton in July 2023; however, from August 2023 to December 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major external markets. In December 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices to Denmark ($7,842 per ton) and Germany ($7,459 per ton), while the average price for exports to Spain ($5,857 per ton) and Poland ($6,181 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From January 2023 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Denmark (+0.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Japan ($11,442 per ton), while the price for Uzbekistan ($5,078 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2023 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Sweden (+0.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
