In 2022, the average export price for cellulose fibre-cement articles or the like; corrugated sheetses amounted to $241 per ton, remaining constant against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, recorded a perceptible descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average export price increased by 32% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $339 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the highest price was recorded for prices to Uruguay ($299 per ton) and South Africa ($293 per ton), while the average price for exports to Bolivia ($230 per ton) and Paraguay ($231 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Peru (+4.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
