The average import price for cameras, photographic (excluding cinematographic); parts and accessorieses stood at $26.4 per unit in January 2024, surging by 35% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a slight descent. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in August 2023 an increase of 115% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $32.7 per unit in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to January 2024, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In January 2024, the country with the highest price was Japan ($86.3 per unit), while the price for Germany ($15.6 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
