Price for Books, Brochures and Leaflets in Indonesia (CIF) - 2022
The average books, brochures and leaflets import price stood at $8,153 per ton in 2022, surging by 16% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when the average import price increased by 17%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $9,952 per ton. From 2019 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Hong Kong SAR ($29,360 per ton), while the price for Egypt ($1,614 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Egypt (+4.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average books, brochures and leaflets export price amounted to $3,256 per ton, reducing by -10.8% against the previous year. In general, export price indicated notable growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.3% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when the average export price increased by 53%. The export price peaked at $3,650 per ton in 2021, and then reduced in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($9,465 per ton), while the average price for exports to Turkey ($1,248 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Lebanon (+20.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Books, Brochures and Leaflets in Indonesia
In 2022, the amount of books, brochures, leaflets and similar printed matter imported into Indonesia skyrocketed to 5.9K tons, growing by 42% against 2021 figures. For the third year in a row, Indonesia recorded decline in overseas shipments of books, brochures, leaflets and similar printed matter, which decreased by -14.2% to 1.4K tons in 2022. Overall, exports faced a significant contraction.
In value terms, books, brochures and leaflets exports declined dramatically to $4.6M in 2022. Over the period under review, exports showed a deep setback. The smallest decline of -11.9% was in 2020.
