Price for Blankets and Travelling Rugs in Latvia (FOB) - 2023
In August 2023, the average blankets and travelling rugs export price amounted to $20.7 per unit, with an increase of 18% against the previous month. Over the period from August 2022 to August 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.5%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $25.3 per unit in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to August 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Iceland ($26.6 per unit), while the average price for exports to Estonia ($8.1 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Iceland (+2.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average blankets and travelling rugs import price stood at $12.4 per unit in August 2023, with an increase of 6.4% against the previous month. Over the period under review, import price indicated a notable increase from August 2022 to August 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +4.1% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on August 2023 figures, blankets and travelling rugs import price increased by +60.9% against June 2023 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in July 2023 an increase of 51% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $13.2 per unit in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to August 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($18.6 per unit), while the price for Poland ($8.6 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+5.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Exports of Blankets and Travelling Rugs in Latvia
