The average andalusite, kyanite and sillimanite import price stood at $1,275 per ton in 2022, with a decrease of -1.8% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate resilient growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average import price increased by 6%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $1,467 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
