In November 2023, the average export price for aluminium; plates, sheets and strip, thickness exceeding 0.2mm, alloys, rectangular (including square)s amounted to $4,197 per ton, flattening at the previous month. In general, the export price showed a slight descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 when the average export price increased by 4.1% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $4,797 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to November 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major overseas markets. In November 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices to Mexico ($5,232 per ton) and the UK ($5,190 per ton), while the average price for exports to Brazil ($3,627 per ton) and Switzerland ($4,021 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Austria (+1.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Overall, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in May 2023 when the average import price increased by 33% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $4,829 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to November 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the UK ($6,618 per ton), while the price for Egypt ($2,788 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+2.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
