In 2022, the average import price for acyclic amides (including acyclic carbamates) and their derivatives; salts thereoves amounted to $9,022 per ton, stabilizing at the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price saw prominent growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 82%. The import price peaked at $25,989 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was India ($28,000 per ton), while the price for Germany stood at $8,881 per ton.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by India (+17.9%).

For the fourth consecutive year, Pakistan recorded growth in supplies from abroad of acyclic amides (including acyclic carbamates) and their derivatives; salts thereoves, which increased by 17% to 136 kg in 2022. Overall, total imports indicated a resilient increase from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +13.9% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +47.8% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 22% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.

In value terms, imports of acyclic amides (including acyclic carbamates) and their derivatives; salts thereoves skyrocketed to $1.2K in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, faced a drastic downturn.
