The average import price for acyclic alcohols and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivativeses stood at $981 per ton in 2022, waning by -14.1% against the previous year. In general, the import price continues to indicate a perceptible curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 34%. The import price peaked at $1,405 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was India ($1,635 per ton), while the price for Oman ($450 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Brazil (+6.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In general, the export price continues to indicate a perceptible shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 33%. The export price peaked at $1,609 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was South Sudan ($1,769 per ton), while the average price for exports to Democratic Republic of the Congo ($688 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Kenya (+0.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In general, exports, however, enjoyed a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 697% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 466 tons, and then dropped markedly in the following year.
In value terms, exports of acyclic alcohols and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivativeses contracted significantly to $230K in 2022. Overall, exports, however, enjoyed a significant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 490%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $394K, and then declined rapidly in the following year.
