Preserved Asparagus Price in the Czech Republic (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average preserved asparagus import price amounted to $2,673 per ton, jumping by 17% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 an increase of 27% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $3,600 per ton. From 2014 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was China ($3,822 per ton), while the price for Spain ($2,442 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+4.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Preserved Asparagus Price in the Czech Republic (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average preserved asparagus export price amounted to $2,744 per ton, with an increase of 14% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a noticeable reduction. The export price peaked at $4,191 per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the countries with the highest prices were Slovakia ($3,593 per ton) and Bulgaria ($3,145 per ton), while the average price for exports to Romania ($2,511 per ton) and Poland ($2,665 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bulgaria (+7.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Preserved Asparagus Imports in the Czech Republic
In 2022, imports of preserved asparagus into the Czech Republic fell rapidly to 182 tons, reducing by -32.4% on the previous year. In general, imports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 94%. As a result, imports attained the peak of 269 tons, and then declined dramatically in the following year.
In value terms, preserved asparagus imports shrank dramatically to $487K in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a resilient expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 116% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $614K, and then reduced rapidly in the following year.
