Peanut Butter Price in Saudi Arabia (CIF) - 2022
The average peanut butter import price stood at $3,094 per ton in 2022, flattening at the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.2%. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when the average import price increased by 8.5%. The import price peaked at $3,274 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United Arab Emirates ($4,787 per ton), while the price for India ($1,750 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by South Africa (+6.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Peanut Butter Price in Saudi Arabia (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average peanut butter export price amounted to $3,007 per ton, picking up by 7.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a abrupt setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when the average export price increased by 40%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $5,109 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Peanut Butter Imports in Saudi Arabia
In 2022, the amount of peanut butter and prepared or preserved groundnuts imported into Saudi Arabia expanded notably to 14K tons, surging by 7.8% compared with the previous year. In general, imports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when imports increased by 7.9% against the previous year.
