Mandarins Price in Poland (CIF) - 2023

In July 2023, the average mandarins import price amounted to $1,354 per ton, waning by -17.1% against the previous month. Over the period from July 2022 to July 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.9%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in September 2022 an increase of 38% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $1,632 per ton in June 2023, and then dropped markedly in the following month.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Spain ($2,316 per ton), while the price for Portugal ($1,177 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+5.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Mandarins Price in Poland (FOB) - 2023

The average mandarins export price stood at $1,064 per ton in July 2023, reducing by -20.1% against the previous month. Overall, the export price recorded a slight setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in March 2023 when the average export price increased by 26% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $1,332 per ton in June 2023, and then contracted notably in the following month.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the UK ($2,166 per ton), while the average price for exports to Ukraine stood at $952 per ton.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+2.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Mandarins Imports in Poland

In 2022, after two years of growth, there was significant decline in supplies from abroad of fruit, edible, when their volume decreased by -27.8% to 89K tons. Over the period under review, imports recorded a abrupt decline. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 21% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of 124K tons, and then declined rapidly in the following year.

In value terms, mandarins imports contracted remarkably to $99M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +1.7% over the period from 2020 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 32%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $126M, and then reduced sharply in the following year.

Mandarins Exports in Poland

In 2022, after two years of growth, there was significant decline in shipments abroad of fruit, edible, when their volume decreased by -19.5% to 10K tons. Overall, exports recorded a deep downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 7.1%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 13K tons, and then dropped sharply in the following year.

In value terms, mandarins exports contracted modestly to $9.9M in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +3.5% from 2020 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 11%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $10M, and then shrank in the following year.
