Liqueurs and Cordials Price in Germany (FOB) - 2023
The average liqueurs and cordials export price stood at $6.8 per litre in June 2023, rising by 5.1% against the previous month. Overall, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in April 2023 an increase of 12% month-to-month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $6.9 per litre. From May 2023 to June 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major overseas markets. In June 2023, the countries with the highest prices were the Netherlands ($7.6 per litre) and the United States ($7.5 per litre), while the average price for exports to Hungary ($5.6 per litre) and Belgium ($5.7 per litre) were amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belgium (+3.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average liqueurs and cordials import price stood at $4.5 per litre in June 2023, waning by -4.4% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.0%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in April 2023 an increase of 31% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $4.8 per litre in May 2023, and then reduced modestly in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Ireland ($7.5 per litre), while the price for Poland ($2.7 per litre) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Ireland (+4.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Liqueurs and Cordials Exports in Germany
In 2022, the amount of liqueurs and cordialses exported from Germany totaled 106M litres, picking up by 11% against the year before. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.6% from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 36% against the previous year. The exports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
In value terms, liqueurs and cordials exports expanded sharply to $652M in 2022. Overall, total exports indicated a measured increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +2.5% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +54.8% against 2020 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 42%. The exports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.
