Glass Fibre Voiles Price in Portugal (CIF) - 2021
The average glass fibre voiles import price stood at $5,491 per ton in November 2021, shrinking by -14.5% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in September 2021 an increase of 104% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $6,686 per ton in April 2021; however, from May 2021 to November 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2021, the country with the highest price was China ($13,697 per ton), while the price for the Netherlands ($2,818 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2020 to November 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+55.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average glass fibre voiles export price amounted to $8,762 per ton, almost unchanged from the previous year. Overall, the export price enjoyed strong growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when the average export price increased by 404%. The export price peaked at $17,358 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($15,529 per ton), while the average price for exports to Brazil amounted to $4,615 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Argentina (-0.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In 2022, the amount of glass fibre voiles imported into Portugal reduced to 829 tons, with a decrease of -6.5% on 2021. Overall, imports continue to indicate a noticeable setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 31% against the previous year.

The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +2.2% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
